Job summary

We're recruiting for a Porter/Cleaner to join our team at Townlands Community Hospital on a part-time bases (25 hours per week). You'll be working on a two week rolling rota which covers Monday - Sunday where you'll be on shift every other weekend.

Main duties of the job

Collection and delivery of post and parcels within the site. Collection of dirty linen. Distribution of clean linen. General daily cleaning duties within the site/hospital. Collection of refuse and other waste, ensuring that any waste bins in outside public areas are regularly emptied. Keeping stores and medical gas compound clean and tidy and kept secure at all times, reviewing medical gas trolleys and delivery medical gas to the relevant departments onrequest.

Job description Job responsibilities

The post is Part time - 25 hours per week, working on a 2 week rolling rota, working Monday - Sunday with every other weekend.

To work as part of the Facilities team to provide a comprehensive porter service to across the Trust. Please see attached JD/PS for full duties.

Person Specification

Education Essential

Educated to GCSE Level

Desirable

Knowledge of Basic Health & Safety Regulations

Experience Essential

Experience of moving & handling activities Basic Cleaning Skills Some knowledge of cleaning chemical/materials

Desirable

Previous experience as porter/cleaner Experience in food handling

Skills Essential

Ability to work on own or as part of a team Good communication skills Good Organisational skills
