Main duties of the job
Using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Working with confidential information. Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. A team player who can work with minimal supervision and use own initiative. Flexible approach, with willingness to travel.
About us
Our Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the largest in the country.
The ICB is responsible for ensuring that high quality and safe health services are accessible to all of our communities. It has a wide range of functions, including; promoting integration of health and care services, improving peoples health and well-being, reducing health inequalities.
With a £6.6 billion budget and a workforce of 170,000 people across the North East and North Cumbria. As well as strategic functions, ICB staff also work at place level with local health and wellbeing boards in each of our 14 local authority areas. These teams also work alongside our 67 primary care networks which are groups of local GP practices, social care teams and other community- based area providers.
The ICB works with our Provider Collaborative too, this includes the 11 NHS Foundation Trusts in the region, to deliver our shared priorities.
Job description Job responsibilities
Provide high-quality transactional finance support and help deliver routine financial reports to agreed timetables. Maintain accurate financial data, spreadsheets and system records (speed and accuracy matter). Support reconciliations, basic analysis and investigation of variances and discrepancies. Respond to routine queries from budget holders, colleagues and external stakeholdersusing tact and clear communication. Support audit work and help resolve queries early by providing evidence and clear explanations.

Qualifications Essential
Minimun of 5 GCSE's grade A-C or 5 to 9 including Maths and English or equivalent
Desirable
Qualified or workingtowards AAT Level 3 or equivalent experience or qualifications
Experience Essential
Experience and knowledge of a range of finance areas (finance computer systems, coding structures, accounting and account reconciliations) Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive information and internal and external stakeholders effectively to resolve basic queries
