Main duties of the job The role of the General Practitioner is pivotal in providing professional and clinical care at the Croydon GP Hubs which offer urgent, on-the-day care for patients with minor illnesses or injuries. Supported by a mix of General Practitioners and Advanced Nurse Practitioners, this role is instrumental in delivering safe, effective, and compliant services. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Lead GP to maintain a rota service within Croydon. This position involves participating in clinical governance activity and contributing to health outcome improvements through audit and Quality monitoring while aiming to meet CQC standards. Furthermore, the GP Hub operates daily from 8am to 8pm, or until 10pm at the ED redirection HUB, throughout the year. The work pattern may incorporate shifts across all sites and sessions. Main Responsibilities: As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:
To deliver high quality clinical care to the patients registered and attending the GP surgery and to work closely with the clinical leads and local practice team to support the delivery of the surgeries operational plan. You will strive to maintain qualify within the practice ensuring participation in clinical governance activity and contribute to the improvement in qualify health outcomes through audit and the Quality and Outcomes Framework and contributing to the practice achieving other qualify standards to include CQC standards. To provide clinical care to patients as described in the job plan and in line with the total triage model. This will include consultation sessions (both in person and by video), telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews and prescription signing and other clinical administration,safeguarding lead, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings and on-call (excluding out of hours). To adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the GMC and to put individual patient care as your priority. Working with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead to support the development, delivery and review of the surgery action plan including list growth, patient satisfaction levels, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management.Ideal Candidate: What we look for in new colleagues:
Current registration with GMC and NHS performers list and engaged in regular clinical work. An experienced doctor with GP accreditation - MRCGP examination or equivalent experience. Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused services. Sound knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and use of appropriate coding. Ideally have a working knowledge of clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMISweb. Package Description: How well support you:
Annual salary of up to £112,500 depending on experience and £11,000 per session for newly qualified GPs. Full indemnity cover. Six weeks annual leave and one week study leave pro rata. Qualifications Essential
A current registration with GMC and NHS performers list, experience as a doctor with GP accreditation (MRCGP examination or equivalent experience), and a commitment to delivering quality and patient-focused services. Knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs, and appropriate coding, along with preferably a working knowledge of clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMISweb.
