Main duties of the job The role of Receptionist/Administrator at The Potteries Surgery involves responding to patient queries, managing appointment requests, signposting patients to services, and maintaining patient records along with confidentiality. Other duties include emailing, scanning, and coding clinical correspondence, processing prescription requests, and utilizing information systems to support efficient workflow processes. Essential qualifications include reception or customer care experience, excellent communication skills, and basic PC skills such as Word, Excel, and email. Additionally, the ideal candidate should work well within processes and procedures and maintain confidentiality and data security. Previous NHS experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Main Responsibilities: As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:
Responding to patient queries and liaising with the wider primary care team as well as managing appointment requests, signposting patients to our range of services and maintaining patient records and confidentiality. Emailing, scanning and coding clinical correspondence. Processing prescriptions requests. Utilising other information systems to support efficient workflow processes.Ideal Candidate: What we look for in new colleagues:
Reception or customer care experience is essential as well as an excellent communicator both spoken and written. Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email. Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidently and data security. Previous experience of working in the NHS is welcome but not essential. Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Reception or customer care experience, excellent written and spoken communication skills, basic PC skills including Word and Excel, ability to work within procedures and maintain data security. NHS experience is a plus but not required.
