About this role

Job summary

Due to expansion of the team we are looking for someone to work 22-28 hours a week. The Care Coordinator within the Clinical Coding Team is primarily responsible for ensuring that all external and internal patient correspondence is acted upon at the appropriate level and accurately coded in the patients medical record.

Depending on experience, the role may be expanded to include supporting and deputising for the Deputy Clinical Coding Manager in their absence as well as supporting with auditing and formal in-house training.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Track record of administrative experience in a healthcare setting or similar Good interpersonal and communication skills Highly organised and excellent attention to detail Time management and ability to prioritise workload Knowledge of EMIS Web Clinical System and Docman Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software Ability to work autonomously Ability to follow policy and procedures Accuracy in recording data

Desirable

Track record of administrative experience in General Practice Good understanding of clinical coding and medical terminology Experience of training and mentoring colleagues

Qualifications Essential

Good standard of education with good literacy and numeracy skills
