About this role

Job summary

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated and enthusiastic Paediatric Senior Nursing Assistant to join our children's nursing team on B11. You will work as part of the nursing team and as a wider part of the multi disciplinary team providing high-quality, family-centred care to babies, children, and young people.

As a Band 3, you will take on enhanced clinical responsibilities, supporting registered nurses and contributing to a safe, caring and supportive environment for our patients and their families.

Main duties of the job Assist in delivering high-quality care to children and young people under the supervision of registered nurses. Undertake delegated clinical tasks such as observations, urine testing, capillary blood glucose monitoring, and assisting with feeding. Provide emotional support to patients and families, ensuring dignity, privacy, and respect at all times. Assist with play activities and age-appropriate distraction techniques. Contribute to infection prevention, cleanliness, and a safe ward environment. Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
