About this role

Job summary

This is an exciting and innovative post to provide programme and business management to the Strategic Development Lead and the wider Strategic Development Team.

The post holder will work alongside the Strategic Development Team at this exciting time to support the Trust to shape and deliver the Clinical and Organisational Strategy via the 28 promises. The Strategic Development Team is responsible and leading on several of the Promises, as well as responsible for wider strategic development, relationship and partnership development including collaborative working, investment and charitable funds, health inequalities and service tenders. The post holder will support and drive this work alongside the Team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to lead, with support from the Team on allocated work priorities, following defined processes and deliver defined and agreed outcomes. More specifically, the post holder will:

Work with key operational and backbone stakeholders across the organisation and beyond, to drive the delivery of allocated work prioritise and associated programmes of work.

Work with partners across the RDaSH footprint, including VCFS, people living locally and with lived experience.

Maintain an open approach to identify, communicate and support scoping of potential opportunities, including business growth, innovation and improvement which are aligned to the Strategy.

Lead on delegated programmes of work from initiation, through planning and delivery, to evaluation and identified learning.

Maintain focus on enhancing and further developing a positive reputation to innovation and improvement, reinforcing the view of RDaSH as a strong, reliable and quality driven provider of NHS services.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Educated to degree level in an appropriate area of transferable relevance (or can demonstrate equivalent experience) Relevant professional qualification (or can demonstrate equivalent experience) in respective portfolio area e.g. Prince2, MSP, QSIA Evidence of continued professional development.

Experience Essential

Programme or Business management experience, with a reputation for successful delivery with positive credibility Demonstrable experience of leading change programmes using best practice methodologies Experience of successfully working with clinicians from a variety of backgrounds and seniority Experience of direct staff management, including day to day management, managing staff through change and managing employee relations and/or performance management aspects Demonstrable experience of working with data and information requiring excellent analytical skills, ensuring both robust analysis and clear presentation to a wide audience Experience of effective partnership working across organisational boundaries

Desirable

Knowledge Essential
