Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, well-established GMS practice as a Practice Nurse. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed practice nurse to join our dedicated team.
This part-time role covers 2 days per week. Either Monday or Tuesday and Thursday, totalling 16 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Deliver a range of clinical nursing services including
chronic disease management clinics (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension) Conduct cervical cytology (smear tests) Administer vaccinations and immunisations, including childhood immunisations, travel vaccinations Perform wound care, dressings Carry out NHS Health Checks Undertake ECGs Provide patient education and health promotion advice Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records on SystmOne Liaise and work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team Contribute to QOF and enhanced service targets

Practice Operating Hours:Surgery is open from 8am to 6:45pm, Monday to Friday.
About Us:Our premises are purpose-built and well-equipped, providing a supportive, friendly working environment with a strong administrative team. We use the SystmOne clinical system and work closely with neighbouring practices within an active Primary Care Network.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Experience of working in general practice as a Practice Nurse. Ability to carry out general practice nursing procedures such as: *Wound care and dressings *Child and Adult immunisations *Travel vaccinations *Cervical screening (smear tests) *Blood pressure monitoring *ECG and basic health assessments *Knowledge of infection prevention and control *Care of Long Term Conditions (LTCs)
Qualifications Essential
*Registered Nurse qualification (Adult Nursing) *Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) *Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
