Overview
As a Security Guard, you help maintain a safe, orderly environment through attentive observation, visible presence, and prompt communication. Your work supports people on site and helps colleagues respond effectively to security concerns.
Duties
- Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and use surveillance practices to identify unusual activity.
- Observe CCTV feeds, report concerns promptly, and document incidents and relevant details accurately.
- Support loss prevention by watching for potential theft, property damage, or breaches of site procedures.
- Communicate calmly with visitors and colleagues, follow established response procedures, and escalate concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
Required: Practical observation, clear communication, sound judgment, and accurate recordkeeping are essential for monitoring activity, reporting concerns, and following procedures. Preferred: Familiarity with surveillance, CCTV, loss prevention, or law enforcement practices can support effective performance and informed responses.
