CANDIDATES WITH A VALID CLASS 5 DRIVER'S LICENSE WILL BE GIVEN PREFERENCE.
WE YOUR COVER TRANSPORTATION (shuttle service to-and-from site, ONLY out of Saskatoon or Prince Albert), MEALS, & ACCOMMODATION AT SITE.
Job is located at the Eldorado Mine site in Saskatchewan, approximately 3.5 hours northeast of Prince Albert; and 85 km west of Flin Flon.
SHIFT WORK IS REQUIRED (11-hour days); WORK SCHEDULES ARE 2-WEEK IN-AND-OUT ROTATIONS.
- This position is responsible for janitorial duties at remote northern sites, such as mining facilities and exploration camps.
- Duties must be completed in accordance with contract standards & specifications.
- Duties & Responsibilities:- Sweep, mop, and wash floors.- Dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, and area rugs.- Clean and sanitize all areas as assigned.- Collect garbage.- Clean assigned areas, including office complexes and other buildings.- Follow ACLP policies and procedures.- Other duties as assigned.
Things to consider:- Requires compressed workweeks at a remote facility.- You must be a team player, who works well with others.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast, thorough, efficient manner with attention to detail.- One year of janitorial experience is preferred and would be an asset.- A suitable combination of education & experience will also be considered.- Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid, recognized first aid certificate.- Ability to perform janitorial duties in a safe and efficient manner.- Knowledge of safety procedures associated with working with hazardous products, including WHMIS.- Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.- You must be prepared to work at site during holidays and weekends.- You must be fit for duty and able to safely fulfill the job requirements in a remote setting.
