Job description –
- Administer, maintain, and optimize relational database systems - MS SQL Server/Azure SQL Database
- Analyze and resolve complex issues without oversight from other people
- Working on Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019 & 2022 (Should have experience in legacy versions 2008 R2/2012/2014 as well) and above SQL Server DBA Experience.
- Designing the schema that can be usable across multiple customers
- Doing Server level Performance Tuning and Query level performance Tuning
- Ensuring the Best Practices in Security Compliance at SQL Server Level
- Specialized in Backup, Restore and Data Refresh activities
- Plan and manage Server Level Capacity management for Database management system
- Conduct capacity planning and forecast database growth to ensure scalability
- Implementing high-availability and failover solutions, such as clustering, replication, and Always On availability groups.
- Collaborate with system administrators and cloud engineers to optimize database infrastructure.
- Implement and enforce security policies, including encryption, access control, and database auditing.
- Regularly review and apply security patches and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Implement proactive database monitoring and alerting tools to identify and resolve performance issues
- Should be specialized in DBCC commands, DMV's and Perfmon tool to troubleshoot the performance issues
