Requirements
- Experience as an Application Architect, Solution Architect, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application architectures
- Experience designing solutions on Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of data integration patterns, APIs, ETL/ELT processes, and database technologies
- Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Databricks, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of analytics and reporting platforms such as Power BI
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
- Familiarity with modern data governance and cloud security practices
Responsibilities
- Define application architecture and technical design standards for cloud-native solutions
- Design and oversee solutions running on Kubernetes and Azure platform services
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate applications with data platforms, databases, and reporting solutions
- Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, performance, and governance requirements
- Support development teams through architecture reviews, technical guidance, and best practices
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into solution designs

This is an initial six-month contract based in Glasgow, with two days per week on site and hybrid working. The rate is £600 per day, inside IR35.
