Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Vue.js and a thorough understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Experience building and maintaining complex web applications.
- Confidence making frontend architectural decisions and explaining your reasoning.
- Experience providing technical leadership, reviewing code and coaching developers.
- A good understanding of frontend testing, performance and maintainable component design.
- Practical interest in AI-assisted engineering and the ability to assess its output critically.
- Strong communication skills across technical and product teams.
- People management experience, or clear readiness to lead a small team.
- Experience working with Java backend services or AWS-hosted applications would be useful.
Responsibilities
- Lead frontend development using Vue.js.
- Shape frontend architecture, component design and coding standards.
- Review code and AI-generated output for quality, maintainability and performance.
- Work with Product to clarify requirements and create clear implementation specifications.
- Collaborate with Java backend engineers on integration and technical decisions.
- Improve automated testing, CI/CD and development tooling.
- Own squad delivery, resolve blockers and raise risks early.
- Support engineers through regular one-to-ones, feedback and development planning.
- Develop features, direct AI agents and make architectural decisions, spending around 60% to 70% of your time on hands-on engineering.
- Work with Product and backend colleagues to turn requirements into reliable, maintainable software.
