Requirements
- Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring software engineers
- Technical background across technologies such as .NET, C#, React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Azure
- Ability to read and review code despite not coding daily
- Experience managing software delivery and responding to changing priorities
- Strong understanding of code quality, test-driven development, and continuous improvement
- Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Interest in cloud technologies and AI-assisted development
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately eight engineers and testers
- Manage performance, provide regular feedback, and support career progression
- Review code and contribute to decisions about software design, architecture, and maintainability
- Improve code quality, testing practices, and ways of working
- Work with Product teams to plan priorities and deliver against the roadmap
- Remove obstacles and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Support recruitment and build the skills needed within the team
- Help the team make effective use of AI-assisted development tools
