Salary: £104,000 - 119,600 per year
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using Scala
- Strong understanding of functional programming principles and modern software engineering practices
- Proven experience building high-quality, scalable backend services and distributed systems
- Experience with Akka, Play Framework, or similar Scala ecosystems
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps practices, and modern engineering methodologies
- Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS; exposure to Azure or Google Cloud is beneficial
- Ability to develop robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions in a commercial environment
- Willingness and flexibility to provide occasional out-of-hours support when required
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, UK Security Clearance at SC/DV level; sponsorship will be provided where required
- Candidates should meet the relevant residency requirements; any applicable reserved post nationality restrictions will be confirmed by the client
