Job Summary
Safely operate a forklift truck to move, stack, load, and unload materials within CROWN Bevcan Slovakia ensuring efficient and accurate material flow to support production operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate forklift trucks (stand-up, sit-down, reach, etc.) safely and efficiently to move materials, raw goods, finished products, and waste.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of loads.
- Transport materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Perform daily pre-operation forklift inspections and complete inspection logs.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns with equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory by scanning and recording material movements using a warehouse management system (WMS) or manual logs.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping and general housekeeping.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments.
- May assist with other general warehouse or production duties as needed.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating various types of forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification upon hire).
- Proven ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and documentation.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and WMS operations.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs), bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
