Job Title: Mechanical Installation TechniciansJob DescriptionAs a Mechanical Installation Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and installing multiple conveyor lines and a mezzanine at a facility. This role requires teamwork, precision, and the use of hand and power tools. Working in small teams is essential to ensure safe and successful project completion.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install conveyor lines and mezzanine structures with precision.
- Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely.
- Work collaboratively within small teams to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Potentially operate lifts and work at heights.
- Ensure all tasks are completed according to safety protocols.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in conveyor installation, construction labor, millwright, welding, or similar mechanical fields.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Experience in a heavy-duty or industrial construction environment.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Mechanically inclined with skills in forklift, scissor lift, and controls.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical inclination and assembly experience with conveyors or similar equipment.
- Comfort and experience working in a construction site environment.
- Strong asset if experienced in forklift and aerial work platforms (boom or scissor).
- Certification in scissor lift operation is mandatory.
- One in every three workers needs to have a forklift license.

Work EnvironmentThe work takes place at a facility, with a schedule from 06:30 to 16:30, Monday to Saturday, potentially totaling up to 60 hours per week. Technicians may need to work on platforms and operate scissor lifts or forklifts. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn, and safety protocols must be followed. Workers are required to bring their own tools, including a socket set, wrench set, screwdriver set, hammer, rubber mallet, torpedo level, square, pry bar, adjustable wrenches, measuring tape, Allen key set, and drift.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Pitt Meadows, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
