Job Title: Warehouse SupervisorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role involves ensuring departmental objectives such as safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness are met, while supporting and counseling employees as needed. You will play a pivotal role in improving operations through problem-solving and efficient layout organization.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and support hourly employees with their needs and concerns.
• Address performance behaviors by reinforcing positive actions and disciplining negative ones.
• Utilize the Quality Network problem-solving process to address opportunities and engage the workforce for ideas.
• Apply the Workplace Organization process to improve layouts and efficiency.
• Update the Timekeeping System daily to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Use A-3 reporting format to document problem-solving activities and follow local A-3 guidelines.
• Conduct daily huddle-up meetings to communicate business performance and facilitate two-way discussions with employees.
• Perform and document weekly safety observation tours of the department.
• Plan daily workloads in advance and support colleagues to optimize shift performance.
• Enforce shop rules and perform daily SOP audit checks.
• Advance skills through the Individual Development Plan process.
• Keep the General Supervisor and Shop Committee informed of all pending activities.

Essential Skills

• Experience in supervision, management, and warehouse operations.
• Ability to lead, motivate others, and perform progressive discipline including verbal counseling and terminations.
• Strong people skills with a customer service mindset.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to find corrective actions and resolutions.
• Experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, inventory control, supply chain, and warehouse management.

Work EnvironmentThis is a part distribution center with a two-shift operation. Shifts include 1st: 5:30am - 2pm, 2nd: 2pm - 11:30pm, and a swing shift from 8am - 4:30pm, generally running Monday through Friday with up to 5 hours of overtime per week. The dress code is business casual with no frayed, ripped, or torn clothing, and shoes should be of leather-like material. All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times on the plant floor. Laptops and cell phones will be provided if necessary. This facility is responsible for fulfilling OEM part orders to a network and third-party retailers in the region.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of BOLINGBROOK, IL.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
