Job Description
Mainframe Application lead specializing in designing, documenting, programming and supporting tools for our Mainframe development community’s efforts primarily for the Claims Application.
Essential Skills
- Highly competent in processes involved in systems analysis and use of appropriate tools for resolution. Including understanding design factors, system capacities, hardware and software requirements, coding, testing, and debugging programs.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Excels in ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with subordinates, peers and management.
- Should have worked on migration project.
- Should have handled team of 5-6 developers and should have proven track record Required Skills:
- Highly proficient in COBOL, DYL280, DB2, CICS, and JCL in a z/OS environment
- Proficient in establishing CICS table entries for new programs, transactions and files
- Knowledge of using the following IBM products: z/OS, DB2 for z/OS, ISPF, TSO/E, VSAM, JCL, IBM Utilities, PDS/PDSE dataset format
- Knowledge of project design considerations for interfacing with distributed applications, coordinating project designs and implementation plans
- Experience in project life cycle phases including analysis, design, programming and implementation
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
