Job DescriptionThe Shop Helper supports day-to-day operations in a clean industrial manufacturing environment by handling materials, assisting with shipping and receiving, and assembling equipment using hand and power tools. This role involves physical, fast-paced work, including loading and unloading heavy industrial materials, moving materials to production lines, and performing light fabrication of parts as needed. The position requires basic computer use, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions and established procedures while working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle materials and prepare for shipping and receiving.
• Utilize hand and power tools for equipment assembly.
• Assist in moving materials to production lines.
• Load and unload materials as required.
• Perform light fabrication of parts when necessary.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience with hand and power tools.
• 1+ years of mechanical or automotive assembly experience.
• 1+ years of experience in physical labor in a manufacturing or shop environment.
• 1+ years of forklift operation or material handling experience.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pmGreat team to join! Tons of Over time! Pay: $18/hour depending on experience! Contract to hire based on performance and attendance!

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a clean industrial manufacturing shop with approximately 30 employees. The standard shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an initial first-day start time of 8:00 a.m. The environment is procedure- and process-driven, with a strong focus on safety and effective work. You will work both independently and alongside other team members, interacting with different areas of the shop as needed.

The setting involves regular use of hand and power tools, grinders, forklifts, and other equipment typical of a production and assembly facility. The culture is family-friendly and understanding of personal issues, while maintaining firm expectations around attendance, performance, and meeting project goals.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of HONEY BROOK, PA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
