Production Worker @ Aerotek

This is a hands-on manufacturing position involving assembly, machine operation, measuring, packaging, and general production work. Employees will be cross-trained in multiple areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assemble windows, patio doors, and related components.
• Work on different production lines based on daily production needs.
• Measure materials accurately using a tape measure down to 1/16 inch.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
• Read production paperwork and labels to ensure the correct materials and components are used.
• Inspect products for quality and accuracy.
• Package and handle finished products.
• Perform general production and material handling duties.
• Cross-train in different areas of production.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of manufacturing, warehouse, construction, assembly, or similar hands-on experience.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure down to 1/16 inch.
• Experience using hand and power tools preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Comfortable standing and performing physical work throughout the workday.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to learn and work in different areas of production.
• No formal education or certifications required.

Work EnvironmentThis position is located in a manufacturing facility in West Des Moines that is not temperature controlled, so temperatures will vary depending on the season. Employees work around production machinery, hand tools, and power tools and will be on their feet throughout the shift. Steel-toed shoes are required. The regular 1st-shift schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Hours may increase during busy production periods, including overtime and occasional Saturday work. Why Work Here? Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
