Job Title: ElectricianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team for a 7-month project at Maxwell Airforce Base, focusing on retrofitting lighting fixtures to LED. You will work alongside another experienced Electrician and supervise apprentices on site to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Responsibilities
- Assist in retrofitting lighting fixtures to LED at Maxwell Airforce Base.
- Collaborate with another Electrician to carry out project tasks.
- Supervise apprentices and ensure work is completed efficiently.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to guide electrical installation and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues as needed.
- Perform wiring, pulling wire, and installation tasks.
Essential Skills
- Journeyman license.
- OSHA 10 certification (within 5 years).
- Knowledge of Fall Protection protocols.
- Familiarity with Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
- Experience with NSP 70E standards.
- Reliable transportation.
- Comfortable working at heights.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience with retrofitting on commercial or industrial sites.
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work EnvironmentWork in a military base environment where you will be replacing light bulbs in office spaces. The position requires working at potential heights and demands attention to safety protocols. Shifts run from 7am to 5:30pm, and necessary PPE such as safety glasses, vest, steel-toed boots, and hard hat will be provided.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
