Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThis is a hands-on facilities maintenance role supporting our manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general upkeep of the building, grounds, and facility equipment. We are seeking someone with an industrial/manufacturing maintenance background who is comfortable working across multiple trades and can independently handle day-to-day facility needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventative, and emergency building maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor and maintain building HVAC systems.
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, and general facility repairs.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Support office moves, furniture moves, and factory equipment moves.
- Assist with manufacturing equipment maintenance as needed.
- Maintain building grounds and support general facility upkeep.
- Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
- Work safely at heights when required.
- Order and maintain materials and supplies needed to complete assigned work.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of maintenance/facilities experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with general building and facility maintenance.
- HVAC experience strongly preferred.
- Electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general repair experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is required.
- Comfortable operating or learning to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts and working at heights.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Self-motivated, reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing/factory environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical, electrical, and PLC skills.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
