Job Title: Maintenance Technician II Mechanical & RoboticsJob DescriptionThis role supports an operations maintenance team by repairing, maintaining, and improving material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution equipment in a large, climate-controlled facility. You will work hands-on with mechanical and robotics-related systems to help ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation across the building.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment used throughout the facility.
• Support the maintenance of pneumatic systems, including inspection, adjustment, and replacement of components as needed.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Respond to maintenance requests from operations teams and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians and operations staff to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage according to site standards and procedures.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working with mechanical, pneumatic, and robotic systems.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience performing maintenance repairs on material handling equipment.
• Ability to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Experience working with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and component replacement.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment in a technical maintenance environment.
• Capability to work effectively as part of an operations maintenance team in a large facility.
• Attention to detail and ability to accurately document maintenance work performed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician in a distribution, logistics, or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with robotics or automated systems used in packaging and material handling.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple maintenance requests.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with operations and fellow maintenance technicians.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a climate-controlled facility alongside a large, collaborative maintenance and operations team of approximately 100 people. The environment centers around automated packaging, distribution, material handling, and pneumatic systems, with a focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. Work is performed on-site at an airport-based distribution location, using standard maintenance tools and equipment in a structured, team-oriented setting.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Irving, TX.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
