Job Title: Wire CutterJob DescriptionThis role focuses on pulling, measuring, and cutting heavy electrical wire for customer orders in a high-volume warehouse environment. You organize and manage spools of wire and related materials, use specialized tools and machinery to cut and bundle wire accurately, and support basic inventory tasks within the wire department. You will first train on general order picking and warehouse operations to learn the facilitys workflow, and then transition into the wire cutting function for a long-term data center project.
Responsibilities
- Pull wire for customer orders according to specifications and ensure accurate measurements for each job.
- Organize, stage, and maintain spools of wire and related materials in the wire department.
- Pull multiple heavy wires at once, including dense wire up to approximately 1 inch thick, and bundle them into new spools as required.
- Use electrical crimpers, cutters, and other wire-cutting machines safely and efficiently to cut and prepare wire.
- Assist with putting up and pulling down wire spools from racking, including occasional use of a forklift if trained and authorized.
- Perform occasional inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels in the wire department.
Essential Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding general labor, including frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds independently.
- Experience working in a warehouse or general labor environment, with comfort handling heavy materials.
- Ability to measure wire accurately and work with basic measurement tools.
- Experience using electrical cutters, crimpers, and related hand tools for cutting and preparing wire or similar materials.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Bridgeton, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
