Job Title: Welder / Fabricator Custom Industrial PlatformsJob DescriptionThis role focuses on fabricating and welding custom industrial work platforms, mezzanines, ladder platforms, stairs, and steps for specialized projects, including aerospace and government-funded work. You will use MIG and TIG processes on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel to produce high-quality, structurally sound assemblies based on detailed blueprints and drawings. The position requires a strong fabrication experience, precise welding skills, and the ability to work extended hours in a busy manufacturing shop.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel components for customized platforms, mezzanines, ladders, stairs, and steps.
- Weld material in the 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch range while maintaining proper bead size and meeting specified weld quality standards.
- Fabricate parts according to blueprints and drawings, ensuring accurate interpretation of all custom order requirements.
- Use fabrication equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces, setting up and measuring assemblies to precise dimensions.
- Fit and assemble structural components, ensuring proper alignment, structural integrity, and overall product quality.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan fabrication steps and determine appropriate welding and fitting techniques.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of MIG welding experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience MIG welding on aluminum.
- Proficiency in MIG welding on steel and aluminum in a production or fabrication environment.
- Ability to perform vertical and horizontal welds consistently on various materials.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of St. Peters, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
