About this role

TIG Welder | Custom Fabrication | 1st Shift

Tired of welding the same part over and over again? Were looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join a growing custom metal fabrication shop producing specialized ventilation and dust collection components for heavy manufacturing environments. This isnt repetitive assembly-line welding. Youll work from blueprints to build custom and one-off components, primarily using 1416 gauge carbon steel and stainless steel. If you take pride in clean TIG welds, enjoy fabrication, and like seeing a project come together from print to finished product, this could be an excellent long-term opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing

  • TIG weld thin-gauge sheet metal and ductwork, primarily 1416 gauge
  • Fabricate custom components from carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, dimensions, and weld requirements
  • Lay out parts, tack components, and complete finished welds
  • Measure accurately using tape measures and verify finished dimensions
  • Operate fabrication equipment including:
  • Press brakes
  • Shears
  • Rollers
  • Grinders
  • Saws
  • Plasma cutters
  • Drills and other shop equipment
  • Assist with general fabrication as production needs change
  • Cross-train throughout the shop and expand your fabrication skill set
  • Work alongside welders and fabricators to hit production goals without sacrificing quality

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of TIG welding experience, ideally in a job shop or custom fabrication environment
  • Strong experience TIG welding thin-gauge material
  • Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints
  • Strong tape measure and dimensional skills
  • Previous experience using common sheet metal fabrication equipment
  • TIG experience is essential; MIG welding experience is also beneficial
  • Comfortable working on custom, one-off projects where the job may change from day to day
  • Willingness to jump in, cross-train, and help wherever needed

No Welding Certification? That's Okay.

A formal welding certification is not required. We're more interested in your hands-on TIG welding ability, fabrication experience, and ability to produce clean, consistent work.

Schedule

1st Shift | Monday-FridayCandidates should be comfortable working extended hours during periods of high production demand, with days currently running approximately 1112 hours.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

If you enjoy precision TIG welding but don't want to spend every day making the same production part, this is the kind of shop where your skills can grow. You'll work on customized products, gain exposure to multiple fabrication processes, and have the opportunity to cross-train throughout the operation.

  • If you can TIG weld thin-gauge material and take pride in quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you. Apply today!
