Shift: 2pm-10:30pm

Pay: $16.25-$16.75Job DescriptionAs a Cook, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, and Special/Catered Events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold food items.
• Present food items in an appealing manner for meal periods and events.
• Ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
• Use kitchen equipment effectively and safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
• Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient food service.
• Participate in inventory control and manage food supplies.
• Wash dishes and clean workstations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Ability to use knives and kitchen equipment safely.
• Experience in catering and banquet cooking.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Skill in cold and hot food prep.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Teamwork and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control.
• Knowledge of food service operations.
• Capability to grill, slice, steam, mix, chop, and serve food.
• Dishwashing and station cleaning proficiency.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.25 - $16.75/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
