Production Worker @ Aerotek

Job Title: Production WorkerJob DescriptionJoin an innovative team that collaborates with leading automotive manufacturers to develop vehicle modifications designed to enhance transportation efficiency. As a Production Worker, you will play a vital role in assembling and installing wheelchair ramps in transit vans, ensuring the seamless operation of our production line.

Responsibilities

• Install wheelchair ramps in transit vans.
• Lift and handle objects up to 50 pounds.
• Assemble components using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Maintain steady pace of vehicles through final inspection.
• Identify and resolve potential issues early.
• Use a variety of power tools, including bandsaws, circular saws, jig saws, routers, soldering irons, micro torches, drills, screw guns, utility knives, and air saws.
• Work independently or collaboratively with a team to achieve daily goals.
• Use measuring tape accurately.
• Handle chemicals safely.
• Track supplies and equipment, notifying manager of inventory levels.
• Learn and adapt to new areas of the production line or new builds.
• Train new hires in your area of responsibility as needed.
• Comply with core values and complete other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience with mechanical assembly and upfitting.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Capability to function in a production environment using standard equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Engagement in production-related physical activities such as walking, standing, pushing, reaching, and more.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable using a variety of measuring devices.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
• Participation in company safety programs, trainings, and PPE guidelines.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, KS.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
