Field Technician $21/hr start and 5-10k raise after eval Job DescriptionThe Field Technician maintains, repairs, deploys, and transports a variety of mechanical and field equipment, working hands-on in dynamic environments. This role involves operating forklifts and other field assets, performing general labor and installation tasks, and solving mechanical and technical problems on-site. The position requires frequent travel, including extended assignments of 68 weeks at a time, potentially to international locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment and field assets to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Deploy, set up, and transport equipment to various field locations, including remote or international sites.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in accordance with safety standards.
• Perform general labor tasks such as loading, unloading, assembly, and site preparation.
• Interpret and work from blueprints and installation plans to complete mechanical, piping, and structural work.
• Assist with construction-related activities including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks as needed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment issues on-site and implement effective solutions.
• Install, adjust, and test mechanical systems, piping, and related components to meet operational requirements.
• Collaborate with field teams to support project execution and ensure equipment readiness.
• Travel for extended periods (68 weeks at a time) and respond quickly to urgent deployment needs, including international travel.

Essential Skills

• Proven mechanical skills with hands-on experience working on equipment and machinery.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and handle field assets in active work environments.
• Experience with general labor tasks, including equipment handling and basic site work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for installation and construction activities.
• Practical experience in construction-related work such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, piping, and HVAC support.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in the field.
• Willingness and ability to travel for 68 weeks at a time, including readiness for short-notice international assignments.
• Capacity to work in hands-on, physically active roles in varied field conditions.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.health vision dental 401k will get a 5-10k pay bump when they get started
