Pay & Earnings Breakdown (High Overtime Appeal)
This role offers $20.13/hr with builtin overtime due to the 12.5hour shift structure. Employees who choose to pick up extra days can earn significantly above standard industrial pay.
If you work 5 days per week (60 hours):
- 40 hours at $20.13/hr: $805.20
- 20 overtime hours at $30.20/hr: $604.00
- Estimated weekly total: $1,409.20
- Estimated annual total (52 weeks): $73,278+
This is realistic, consistent income for anyone who wants a stable industrial role with dependable overtime. The 4on / 4off schedule also allows employees to pick up additional days to push earnings even higher.
Responsibilities
- Railcar Loading Load railcars with sweetener following strict safety, weight, and quality standards.
- Truck Loading & Unloading Assist with loading/unloading trucks and move materials to designated areas.
- Assembly Support Perform basic assembly tasks related to loading operations.
- Hand Tool Use Operate basic hand tools to support loading, unloading, and assembly.
- Safety Compliance Follow all terminal safety guidelines in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Equipment Inspection Inspect equipment and work areas before use; report hazards immediately.
- Work Area Organization Maintain a clean, organized work area to support safe operations.
- Overtime Support Work overtime as required to meet delivery schedules and operational demands.
Essential Skills
- Material Handling experience in industrial or logistics environments
- Ability to safely load railcars with bulk materials
- Proficiency with basic hand tools
- Comfortable working indoors/outdoors in varying weather
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow instructions
- Willingness to work overtime
- Terminal, warehouse, or industrial facility experience
- Familiarity with material handling equipment
- Ability to work independently and in a fastpaced team environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.13 - $20.13/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
