Utility Operator 1st or 3rd Shift - $17-$19/hr
Job DescriptionThis role supports plastic manufacturing operations by coordinating materials, documentation, and workstations for injection molding presses, while also providing hands-on machine operation and leadership to production staff. You will help ensure smooth production flow by organizing inventory, setting up jobs, training machine operators, and maintaining high quality standards for molded products.
Responsibilities
- Support production staff by providing documentation, labels, packing materials, and quality tools as needed to keep operations running efficiently.
- Set up workstations at injection molding presses for new jobs, including gathering and organizing supplies, components, and tools required for each production run.
- Transfer components and supplies to proper bin locations using the Epicor ERP system to maintain accurate inventory records and material flow.
- Assist with training team members in operational procedures and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance with established processes.
- Instruct, train, and coach machine operators, serving as a line lead to promote safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
- Operate manual and automatic injection molding presses to produce plastic components according to specifications.
- Inspect plastic molded products for defects, trim flash, label items correctly, and package finished products for shipment or further processing.
- Perform kitting activities by assembling and organizing components and materials needed for specific jobs or production lines.
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, recording movements, and updating data in ERP or inventory management systems.
- Remain flexible and willing to fill in where needed across production operations to support team goals and meet production schedules.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled plastic manufacturing facility designed for comfort and safety. You will work around injection molding presses, production lines, and inventory storage areas, using technologies such as the Epicor ERP system for inventory and material tracking. The facility operates on rotating shifts with hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., offering structured shift options within a stable production environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of North Royalton, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $45760.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.- Holiday Bonuses
