Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionWe are seeking dedicated Production Operators and Material Handlers to join our team responsible for the assembly and disassembly of engines for General Motors Lansing Delta Township. Production Operators will perform tasks such as removing components, applying coolant, and conducting leak tests. Material Handlers will operate fork trucks, tuggers, and cherry pickers to move and ship engines in a dynamic warehousing and shipping environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble engines, ensuring all components are correctly handled.
- Perform tasks such as applying coolant and conducting leak tests on engines.
- Drive and operate forklifts, tuggers, and cherry pickers to transport engines.
- Manage inventory and shipping of engines to the Lansing Delta Township.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in a Production/Warehouse environment.
- 1+ years of experience with machine operation and/or forklift/Hi-Lo operation.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to meet physical requirements such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Proficiency with hand tools and material handling equipment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
