Job Title: Conveyor TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians with expertise ranging from 2 to 10 years. This position involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues within conveyor systems and other warehouse machinery. Daily maintenance of conveyor systems, MHE batteries, and battery stations, including watering and upkeep, is essential. Additionally, support for general housekeeping, facility maintenance, and preventive maintenance of fire extinguishers, dock doors, dock levelers, and other warehouse equipment is required. Collaboration with maintenance staff to ensure a safe and functional work environment is a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair material handling systems as needed, including gears, chains, pulleys, belts, electric gear motors, rollers, and controls.
• Maintain and repair sorter systems, including laser scanners, computers, and electronics.
• Understand system flow, start, stop, and un-jam conveyors.
• Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, dismantle, lubricate, and overhaul machinery and equipment.
• Check zones, belt tracking, photo eyes, and other components.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts.
• Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes.
• Make decisions based on technical documents.
• Perform quality testing and inspections.
• Crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods.

Essential Skills

• Experience in maintenance and equipment maintenance, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
• Hands-on technical experience of at least 2 years.
• Forklift certification with knowledge of battery changing and watering requirements.
• Mechanical aptitude for basic facility repairs.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 65 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of conveyor systems, capable of troubleshooting and repairing all components.

Work EnvironmentThe role requires open availability, with shifts on the front half and back half. Work in a brand new, climate-controlled distribution facility equipped with modern equipment. Maintenance staff will use motorized vehicles for tools and gear due to the facility's size. Expect heights between 5 ft to 30 ft, utilizing harnesses, railings, platforms, enclosed areas, scissor lifts, and boom lifts for various tasks. The facility is clean and spacious with extensive walking required.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Litchfield Park, AZ.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
