Job Title: FabricatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Entry-Level Metal Fabricator to join a growing manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and seeks to develop long-term skills in metal fabrication and manufacturing. No previous fabrication experience is required, as candidates will receive hands-on training and work alongside experienced team members. You will learn to operate fabrication equipment, read blueprints, use measuring tools, and adhere to quality standards and production processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic metal fabrication and production tasks.
- Learn to operate various fabrication machines including press brakes, shears, and saws.
- Assist with machine setups and adjustments.
- Read and follow work orders, basic blueprints, and production instructions.
- Measure parts using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Use hand and power tools as needed.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes after proper training.
Work EnvironmentWork 1st shift, Monday to Friday, from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, in a non-climate-controlled but clean and well-spaced manufacturing facility. The environment can get hot when the bay doors are open during the summer.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.20 - $21.58/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
