Job Description
Quality InspectorAs a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our food products meet company and safety standards. You will be responsible for inspecting production lines and products, monitoring safety measurements, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
Responsibilities
- Check food during production to ensure it meets company and safety rules.
- Inspect production lines and products for defects or issues.
- Take temperatures and check chlorine levels, pH, and other safety measurements.
- Ensure equipment and work areas are clean before and after production.
- Use tools like thermometers, scales, metal detectors, and ATP testing devices.
- Fill out forms and logs for food safety and quality checks.
- Enforce basic food safety rules, including GMPs, hygiene, and cleanliness.
- Put products on hold if they do not meet standards and report issues to supervisors.
- Work closely with production, sanitation, and QA teams.
Essential Skills
- Experience with quality inspection and use of metal detectors.
- Experience in general labor, visual inspection, and production.
- Knowledge of GMP and basic food safety rules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Must not be sensitive to food allergens.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $44866.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.medical, dental vision, 401k
