Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to support a large-scale engineering documentation validation initiative for commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and reconciling electrical engineering documentation to ensure alignment between schematics, panel layouts, bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing work orders. This role requires strong attention to detail, electrical design knowledge, and the ability to identify documentation discrepancies that could impact manufacturing readiness and production execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate electrical schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and manufacturing work orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Cross-reference engineering documentation to ensure alignment between design intent, BOM requirements, and production deliverables.
  • Perform BOM-to-schematic and BOM-to-work-order reconciliation activities.
  • Verify work order operation identifiers and maintain traceability to supporting engineering documentation.
  • Identify and document mismatches, omissions, and inconsistencies across engineering and manufacturing documentation.
  • Generate validation reports and communicate findings to engineering stakeholders.
  • Support manufacturing readiness by ensuring documentation packages are complete and accurate prior to production release.
  • Participate in daily coordination meetings and collaborate with North American and offshore engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting electrical design, electrical documentation, controls design, or manufacturing engineering activities.
  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and electrical documentation practices.
  • Experience performing engineering document reviews and change verification activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a cross-functional engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or industrial equipment environments.
  • Experience with ERP, BOM management, or manufacturing work-order systems.
  • Previous exposure to control panels, industrial wiring, PLC systems, or refrigeration equipment.
  • Familiarity with engineering change management and configuration control processes.
  • Experience working with distributed or offshore engineering teams.
