JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Handle container vessel loading and discharging operations, ensuring completion within agreed port and vessel cut-off times.
- Coordinate with port authorities, terminals, principals, and service providers to facilitate timely vessel berthing and smooth operations.
- Prepare and submit pre-arrival documentation and coordinate vessel clearance and berthing requirements with relevant authorities.
- Maintain timely communication with principals, customers, and internal stakeholders on vessel schedules, arrivals, departures, and operational updates.
- Ensure accurate updates to local and principal systems and timely submission of all required regulatory declarations.
- Board vessels and coordinate with ship staff, terminals, and service providers to ensure efficient vessel and cargo operations.
- Monitor vessel and cargo handling activities to ensure operational efficiency, timely completion, and seamless transshipment.
- Provide accurate cargo and operational information for final stowage plans and voyage documentation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with port authorities, terminals, customers, principals, and other key stakeholders.
- Optimize vessel turnaround times by monitoring operational progress and proactively resolving issues that may impact schedules.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
- 6 passes with 'C' for Mathematics and English at the GCE O/Levels or London O/Levels AND
- A minimum of 2 passes at the GCE A/Levels OR
- Successfully completion of UGC approved A/L equivalent foundation course with minimum of 1-year experience in a shipping line.
- Excellent command of the English language.
