Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices, primarily in a clean room environment. The role involves the formulation of polymers and spray coating formulations, the production of medical devices using microscopes, and the operation of various equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery to produce medical devices that meet specifications.
- Follow manufacturing instructions and update job documentation accurately for traceability.
- Prepare products for packing and sterilization.
- Inspect products using a microscope.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Set up coating machines and coat, inspect, and fold balloon catheters.
- Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations.
- Test formulations and package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.
- Identify supplies that need replenishment.
- Build components needed for top-level work orders.
- Complete cleaning activities as required.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in English.
- 6 months of experience in medical device manufacturing, ideally with microscope use.
- Comfortable working with chemicals.
- Familiarity with cleanroom processes, including gowning and de-gowning.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Microscope experience is preferred.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
