About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a pivotal role within the academy, supporting the efficient day-to-day running of the school and providing a professional service to staff, pupils, and parents.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality administrative and clerical support across the schoolAct as a first point of contact on reception, offering a welcoming and professional serviceManage communications across the academy, including with parents and carersSupport the organisation of school trips, events, and wider school activitiesInput and maintain accurate records, including purchase orders and MIS systemsProvide administrative support to the Senior Leadership TeamAssist with recruitment administration and onboarding processesSupport school operations, including fire drills, communications, and general organisationContribute to maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient school environment What We Are Looking ForStrong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detailExcellent communication skills and a professional, friendly mannerThe ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands effectivelyA proactive, flexible approach to work and a willingness to support the wider schoolExperience of working in a busy administrative environment (school experience desirable)A commitment to supporting positive relationships with pupils, staff, and familiesKnowledge of school systems such as CPOMS and Bromcom would be advantageousA commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenWhy Join Us?Be part of a supportive and collaborative teamWork in a school committed to inclusion, development, and high standardsAccess to professional development opportunities within Astrea Academy TrustContribution to the Local Government Pension Scheme
