HGV Driver (Class C1) - Southampton
Salary: £29,000 per annum

Are you a reliable and professional Class C1 Driver looking for a varied role with minimal driving and no multi-drop pressure?
We are currently recruiting for an HGV Driver (Class C1) to join a well-established business in Southampton. This role offers a great balance between driving and customer-facing duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active and working independently.
The Role
- Driving between just 2-3 local sites in Southampton
- No multi-drop deliveries
- Transporting and delivering equipment to customer locations
- Collecting equipment and returning it to site
- Occasional use of a company van for urgent or fast-track deliveries
- Loading and unloading equipment
- Providing excellent customer service whilst on site
- Maintaining accurate delivery and collection records
Please note
- Approximately 30% driving and 70% physical delivery/collection work
- A significant amount of walking is involved throughout the day
Requirements
- Valid Class C1 Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Card
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and walking
- Reliable and professional approach to work
- Able to pass a Basic DBS Check
- Willing to participate in random alcohol and drug testing
Working Hours
Working on a rota basis, 40 hours per week:
- 06:00 - 14:00
- 14:00 - 22:00
Some weekend shifts required
- 10:00 - 18:00
