Reed Practice are once again working with the Senior Partner of a high calibre, extremely reputable and independent Cambridgeshire accountancy firm to recruit one, potentially two Trainee Accountants.
We have placed candidates into this firm in the past who have gone on to develop into exceptional accountants. As Trainee Accountant your tasks will include:
- Engage in a mix of accountancy tasks including assisting with and preparing year-end accounts, VAT returns and self-assessment tax responsibilities, with a focus on Making Tax Digital (MTD).
- You will work with a wide range of clients, including charities.
- Utilise strong Excel skills for various accounting tasks; familiarity with IRIS, Xero, Sage, and Quickbooks is advantageous.
- Provide occasional administrative support and other office tasks.
Collaborate across the team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to engage in both junior and more advanced roles as needed.
Your required skills & qualifications to be considered:
- 1-2 years of experience in accountancy within a local practice firm. (essential)
- AAT Level 3 qualification or higher; candidates moving up from apprentice level pay are encouraged to apply. (essential)
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
- Familiarity with Xero, Sage, IRIS, and Quickbooks is a bonus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Driving licence and own car are beneficial but not essential. The firm also located 5 mins walk from many public transport routes
