Job summary
Located in Edmonton, North London, Priory Hospital Enfield offers acute and secure services for adult males and females. We have two medium secure wards, one low secure and one acute ward.
We offer specialist mental health care to people who are unwell and are considered to be unable to look after themselves in the community. We offer specialist assessment, treatment and care to patients with severe mental illness, complex needs and people who require an environment with security and safety.
Priorys acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out-of-area patients back to local areas.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
The DoCS play a key part in developing and delivering the hospital Quality strategy, providing operational and clinical leadership to the team.Ensures delivery of the highest level of clinical and therapeutic care together with ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards and delivering against quality performance indicators.Provides leadership, organisation and co-ordination to ensure effective clinical governance.Facilitating and supporting the implementation and maintenance of the overall site Governance. Working with wards, departments to facilitate the delivery of the Governance agenda and embed learning, evidence based practice and improvement in patient care. Providing professional advice on quality governance issues to all staff at site, promoting high standards of care and development of clinical practice.

Requirements Essential
The ideal candidate will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health and Care Professions Council and hold a recognised post-registration qualification, alongside full membership or accreditation with a relevant professional institution and evidence of continuous professional development. They will possess a detailed understanding of statutory regulations and demonstrate a strong passion for delivering high-quality care and driving continuous improvement. Strong leadership and decision-making skills are essential, supported by a forward-thinking, proactive, and creative approach. Candidates should also have experience working within a related environment.
