Main duties of the job
The DoCS play a key part in developing and delivering the hospital Quality strategy, providing operational and clinical leadership to the team Ensures delivery of the highest level of clinical and therapeutic care together with ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards and delivering against quality performance indicators. Provides leadership, organisation and co-ordination to ensure effective clinical governance. Facilitating and supporting the implementation and maintenance of the overall site Governance. Working with wards, departments to facilitate the delivery of the Governance agenda and embed learning, evidence based practice and improvement in patient care. Providing professional advice on quality governance issues to all staff at site, promoting high standards of care and development of clinical practice.

Located in Blackburn, Lancashire, Priory Hospital Kemple View is a 90-bedded hospital, offering level 2 rehabilitation, and secure services, for adult males. We can support people with a mental health condition and/or a personality disorder.
Person Specification
Qualification Essential
Registered with the NMC or HCPC. Post-registration qualification with evidence of continuous professional development. Strong clinical leadership and decision-making skills. Detailed understanding of clinical governance, quality standards and statutory regulations. Passion for delivering high-quality patient care and continuous improvement. Experience working within a healthcare or hospital environment.
Desirable
Experience leading clinical governance, quality improvement and audit programmes. Previous senior leadership experience managing multidisciplinary clinical teams. Experience supporting CQC inspections and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of incident investigation, safeguarding and risk management processes. Experience developing service improvement plans and delivering staff coaching and training. Budget management and stakeholder engagement experience.
