Job summary
The University Hospital of Wales, is looking for motivated and enthusiastic receptionists to join our Maternity Services Team. By joining our team you will have the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of the maternity unit, providing 24hour administrative support to our clinical maternity teams. Our service is continually changing and evolving to meet the needs of the population and ensure women and their families have a positive birthing experience.
Main duties of the job
Admitting and discharging patients in admission book.
Updating the electronic Patient Management System (PMS) and Clinical Workstation.
Attending to relatives, dealing with visitors, doctors, etc as appropriate.
Answering phone calls and directing appropriately to relevant colleagues
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
