Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity in our busy reception team on a part-time basis. We are looking for someone for 20 hours per week - Monday 8am - 12.30, Tuesday 7am - 6pm (includes 1/2hr unpaid lunch) and Wednesday 7am to 12noon. This is a varied and demanding role providing services to patients at first point of contact with the practice, supporting the clinicians as well as the wider practice team. This is a role that continues to develop and is essential to the practice. The role involves dealing with patients over the phone and in person as well as associated administration.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for candidates ideally with previous experience of working at a GP surgery in a reception setting and ideally used SystmOne IT system. The candidate will need to be flexible, empathetic and have great communication and IT skills.

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties including but not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments using a variety of methods including our AI triage system. This is a varied and demanding role providing services to patients and being the first point of contact.
Person Specification
Experience Essential
Experience of working in a GP Surgery in a reception setting or have reception experience and ideally will have used SystmOne IT system. Experience of working with the general public.
Desirable
Ideally will have used SystmOne IT system experience of administrative duties
Qualifications Essential
Educated to GCSE level A to C or equivalent including Maths and English
