Duties and responsibilities
At Partners in Mental Health and Well-Being, we aim to develop and facilitate a variety of recreational, support, and social programming for youth and adults experiencing mental illness and/or struggling with their overall mental well-being.
Duties include
- Facilitate Drop-In Centre programming, as scheduled and engage with individuals accessing services
- Organize and support community activities which may include volunteering opportunities and connections to other service providers- Assist when needed with the After Hours Group including transport/set up/supervision/clean-up- Assist or facilitate when required support groups including virtual programming- Work as part of a team which includes Social Recreation Support Workers, Peer Support Workers, casual staff
- Monitor and report any changes in client behaviour, suggestions for new programming and ways to enhance overall service delivery to the supervisor Qualifications: Education:- Diploma in the Human Services field or related experience- Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence, must have access to a reliable vehicle that can be used for work and transporting clients- Valid First Aid /CPR/AED Certification, or willingness to obtain within three monthsExperience:- One year experience in related fieldSkills:- Strong interpersonal skills and proficient computer skills
