We are looking for an individual to join our nationally recognised and expanding Community Child & Adolescent Eating Disorder Service in Oxfordshire as aSpecialist Eating Disorders Dietician.

Our well-established service aims to deliver high standards of care to young people and their families, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and participation. You would ensure we are delivering outstanding services to the children and young people in the Oxfordshire catchment area, and you would be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team who offer assessment, treatment, and consultation either in the clinic base or out in the community. The service is works with children and young people aged from 12 up to 18 years old who experience eating disorders.

We are a friendly and welcoming team looking for a practitioner who puts children and young people at the centre of what they do. We promote a culture of support and supervision and have good links with the other teams across Oxfordshire and ensure that there is regular opportunity for networking with our pathways.

Main duties of the job

As a band 7 clinician you will provide high quality specialist dietetic care to children and young people with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, Binge Eating and Atypical Eating Disorders using effective assessments and evidence-based treatments.

Hold a clinical case load and have keyworker responsibilities. Work as an autonomous practitioner, delivering evidence based dietetic interventions for eating disorders and providing robust assessment and management plans, taking appropriate therapeutic risk.

You will be offered in house training in a number of evidence-based interventions. There will also be the opportunity for further training based on individual learning needs. We have good professional support in our service and regular professional regional meetings, including regular team safeguarding supervision.

Knowledge Essential

Knowledge of eating disorder conditions Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice and the ability to demonstrate how this influences clinical practice

To have knowledge and understanding of the research process

Qualifications Essential

Recognised Nutrition & Dietetic Degree or equivalent. Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.

Evidence of completion of informal/formal leadership training

Experience of supervising qualified staff
