Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.
The Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Team are part of Integrated Musculoskeletal services: Physiotherapy Outpatients, Community Orthopaedics and the Community Chronic Pain Service.
We provide musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy to the local population working in community hospital physiotherapy departments and outreach clinics. We run a hybrid model of face to face and virtual consultations.
You will provide comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment and treatment of outpatients.
A Band 6 Health Care Professional (HCP) will effectively and efficiently manage a complex caseload of musculoskeletal patients while assisting in the education and training of physiotherapy colleagues, apprentices, assistants and students.

Band 6 MSK Physiotherapists work closely with the people who use our services, families, friends and carers and play an important contribution in how people experience our services.

Qualifications Essential
Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy Professional Registration with the Health Professions Council Evidence of continued professional development appropriate to role
Desirable
Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Evidence of postgraduate education in specialist clinical area Accreditation for clinical education
Experience Essential
Previous experience working as Band 5/6 within Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Current or previous NHS experience

Practical experience in managing health related projects/complex caseloads Supporting others (mentor / educator / supervisor) experience Experience leading exercise and education group sessions
Knowledge Essential
Wide ranging knowledge in MSK Physiotherapy Understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance to relevant to care setting and its application across health care services Knowledge of up to date clinical practice and current issues relating to the profession

Knowledge of the NHS and of the structure, roles and responsibilities of outside agencies e.g. Social Services
