Position SummaryThe Punch List Carpenter is responsible for completing final-stage construction tasks on residential or commercial projects to ensure all work meets quality standards prior to project closeout. This role focuses on detailed finish work, corrections, and touch-ups identified during inspections or walkthroughs.
Key Responsibilities Complete punch list items including repairs, adjustments, and finishing work Perform light carpentry tasks such as trim installation, door adjustments, hardware installation, and cabinetry touch-ups Repair drywall, patch, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting Perform paint touch-ups, caulking, and minor texture work Install and adjust doors, baseboards, crown molding, and other finish carpentry elements Identify deficiencies and proactively address quality issues Ensure all work meets company standards, project specifications, and client expectations Maintain a clean and safe work environment Communicate effectively with superintendents, project managers, and other tradesRequirements
2+ years of carpentry or construction experience (finish carpentry preferred) Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship Ability to complete small repairs across multiple trades (carpentry, drywall, minor paint) Basic understanding of construction drawings and punch list processes Proficient with hand and power tools Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
